~Just Monkey'n Around~
The theme for our Scrappy Time class last week
was punch art monkeys who are
living the good life in the tropics!
ToOoOooOo Cute!
Do you see the coconut drinks
in the monkeys'
hands on the left side?
These cheeky monkeys
know how to relax and enjoy!
All this monkey business
was created using the following;
Tempting Turquoise
12 x 12 cardstock,
Island Oasis Designer Series paper,
the Tropical Party stamp set,
and Island Floral Bigz die.
These products can be found on
pages 26 & 27 in the
Stampin' Up Summer Mini catalog.
The Summer Mini catalog
retires August 31st
so don't delay in placing your order!

I truly enjoyed my
Tile Class last Saturday!
Many thanks to everyone
who came and shared
in our good time!
The butterfly card above
is the card we made in the
Tile Class.
Isn't it elegant?!
"Life is a matter of moments"
is from the
new Elements of Style
clear stamp set!
Its one of my favorites!
The butterfly was die cut
from Sahara Sand cardstock
using the lovely
Beautiful Butterfly die
and Stampin' Up Big Shot.
Then we used the
Baroque Motifs stamp
and VersaMark watermark ink to
create our scroll-type image
across the butterfly.
Next we heat embossed the design
with clear embossing powder
and the Stampin' Up heat tool.
I love this effect!
The background paper is
chocolate chip,
and the yellow paper is the
Presto Patterns Specialty
Designer Series paper.
This Specialty paper is also found in the
Mini catalog, on page 15.
These papers are vintage white
with beautiful glossy "hidden" designs.
The designs can be
magically revealed
using Smooch Spritz,
an Aqua Painter,
a brayer & ink pad,
or by sponging on
your color choice of ink.
We sponged our strips of
Presto Patterns Specialty
paper with the
Daffodil Delight
Classic ink & a sponge.
Everyone also created tiles
with their very own
personal design choices.
And let me tell ya -
There was some
TERRIFIC TALENT
in the room!
Below is my Grandma and
stepdaughters Mandi & LeAnn ~
And this is LeAnn and granddaughter Abby
working hard on their crafts.
Abby is helping her Mommy
ink a stamp! ~
And here are my friends Debbie Gauthe,
Jennifer McCaw, and Debra Jones.
We enjoyed visiting with each other
and shared a pizza party for lunch!
It was a great group of gals and tons of FUN!
Thank you ladies
for your friendship and support!
Below is my example tile that I made
to teach the
stamping & distressing technique
to the class ~
Don't you just love Love?
And these below are some of my FAVORITE tiles

I think I've found my passion
and Stampin' Up is my therapy -
evidently I need a LOT OF IT! ;)
